This is my big list of stores that generally offer a decent free gift - what they offer is not guaranteed and may change without notice. However, this is not your average freebie full perm crap. These are gifts offered by designers in Second Life.
This is constantly a work in progress. If you know of, or have, a location that you think should be added, please feel free to send me a notecard with your request in world, and a LM to the location. I'll check it out and get it added!
For new folks, here's how you use this list:
If you do not have the Second Life Client open, click on a landmark link below (the shop names or place names), and it will prompt you to teleport to the location, thus opening your Second Life viewer.
If you have it open, just click on the links and it will open a "teleport" window in the Second Life viewer. Go to the places listed and look for the free items.
Once you get to the location, you may have to right click and "buy" for OL (which is free) - or simply "TOUCH" or left click your mouse to get the items.
If you're looking for role play or period specific outfits, keep in mind that most role play sim areas have appropriate clothing gifts in their loading area.
